A practice plan for the Spa Park course

· Jonah Pell

The course in the Spa State Park is the one most of our regulars play. It is flat, tree-lined and tight in places.

A simple plan: warm up with a wedge, then three drives into the practice net, then five mid-irons. On the course, aim for the middle of the green and take the extra club on the long par threes.

Why

Most scores are lost in the trees. If you keep the driver in play and the irons in the middle of the green, the numbers take care of themselves.

Book a gapping session if you are not sure what the extra club is.
